Easy Cedar Plank Salmon

In January, I surprised C with a Big Green Egg for his birthday (in Jan).  Winter was in full force and we didn’t use it much, but as soon as Spring rolled around he found his “smoking wings” and got to it.  We’ve toyed around with several recipes including chimichanga chicken and steak kabobs, swordfish and a few other treats.  Our favorite by far though has been cedar plank salmon.  We literally took some herbs that we had in the cabinet, mixed them together with lemon juice and olive oil.  We put the fish on a cedar blank which smells DELICIOUS and put it on the Big Green Egg for about 10 minutes.

The outcome was AMAZING!  The cedar plank gave the salmon such a distinct flavor that you just cannot imagine.  We were impressed & will definitely try it again soon!
