3 Weeks in Europe – Børn Tripoli Shoe Review
Comfortable, but stylish shoes have been a big thing for me for as long as I can remember. I’ve always associated Børn shoes with being “old lady” shoes, but this time decided to give them a shot. I purchased the Børn Tripoli sandals from DSW in black. When I tried them on in the store I was super impressed with how comfortable and cushioned the sole was. It felt like I was walking on little pillows. I decided against throwing away the box because I wasn’t sure if I would like them. Little did I know…I’m IN LOVE!
Here I am 16 weeks pregnant and we’re flying from ATL to MUC then MUC to PMI. I first put the shoes on once we arrived in Santa Ponsa, Spain. It was hot as hades, but I wanted to try them out & for once I didn’t feel like my feet were ultra sweaty despite all the cushioning.
First off, the Tripoli is a “strappy” gladiator sandal. I went with black because it would match majority of my outfits for the trip. They hug the ankle nicely, but are not too tight which means the shoe doesn’t flop around as you walk (thank goodness cause we walked MILES while in Santa Ponsa). I loved the back zipper, it made getting in and out of the shoes super easy. There is a side buckle, but I never really needed to use it given the back zipper.
I wore them nearly everyday for 16 days throughout Germany and Spain and did 10K plus steps each day. My feet did not blister, hurt or swell in these shoes which is nice for someone who is hoping to breeze thru their 2nd trimester without foot pain or swelling!
I love the sandals, they’re trendy yet comfortable & go well with any outfit! Once we’re back in the US, I plan to buy these in light brown as well to add to my collection of shoes! I’m impressed with Børn; I’ve not worn their shoes before, but they may have made themselves a new customer!
What are your favorite sandals for summer vacation?
